1. What the directory is
The Find a Team pages list independent ghost hunting and UFO investigation teams so that people can find a team near them. Paranormal Department and Space Anomaly Network (“we”, “us”) only host the list. We are not a team, an agent, a broker or an employer of any team.
2. Teams are independent
- Every listed team is an independent group. We do not hire, train, supervise, insure, license or background-check teams, and we do not endorse them.
- A listing is not a recommendation, a rating or a guarantee. People who ask a team for help are responsible for deciding whether to trust it.
- Any agreement about visits, fees, privacy or safety is between the team and the person asking. We are not a party to it.
3. No guarantees about the paranormal
All content on our sites is for entertainment and curiosity. Nobody here can promise to find, prove, explain, remove or “cleanse” anything paranormal, and we make no claim that ghosts, UFOs or anything similar are real. Teams are not emergency, medical, mental-health, legal or religious services. If anyone is in danger or in crisis, call 911 (or 988 in the U.S.) first.
4. Who can list a team, and approval
- You must be 18 or older (or have a parent or guardian’s written permission) and be authorised to speak for your team.
- We read every application before anything goes public. We may decline, edit for length or clarity, hide or remove any listing at any time, with or without a reason.
- Information you give must be true. A listing may show only: team name, a general area and home ZIP code (the map pin is blurred to about 1 km), travel range, bio, write-ups, photos, logo and links. Never send a street address.
5. Your content and your rights
You must own, or have the right to share, everything you submit (text, photos, logos, video and links). Do not send anyone else’s work, and do not show a client’s name, address, private property or a person’s face (especially a child’s) without their permission. You keep ownership of your content.
You give us a non-exclusive, free permission to show your content on the Find a Team pages and the rest of our sites, and to edit it for length, format or clarity.
6. Permission to promote your team and our sites
By listing your team, you give Paranormal Department and Space Anomaly Network permission to use your profile content (team name, photos, investigation write-ups, logo and links) in promotional material for our sites, such as social posts, videos, newsletters and ads, with credit to your team. This permission is non-exclusive and has no time limit while you are listed, and we do not pay for it.
You can ask us at any time to remove your content from future promotions. Email paranormaldepartment1@gmail.com. We will stop using it in new promotional material within a reasonable time (we aim for 7 days). Material that is already published, sent or printed may remain, and we cannot always recall it from other people’s copies or shares.
7. Safety and the law for teams
- Never trespass. Get the owner’s or manager’s permission, ideally in writing, before you go anywhere.
- Stay out of unsafe, abandoned or restricted places (including military bases and airfields). Never point a laser at the sky or at aircraft, and follow FAA drone rules.
- Be honest: do not fake evidence, and say so when you find an ordinary explanation.
- Keep client information private. Use it only to respond to the request. Do not publish it without permission.
- You are solely responsible for your team’s conduct, safety, insurance and compliance with the law, including any taxes on money you earn.
8. If you ask a team for help
When you send a request, you agree that we may pass it (with your name, email and ZIP code) to the team you picked, or to teams near you if you picked none. Your contact details are never shown publicly. Teams may contact you directly. We cannot control what a team does with your details, and we do not guarantee that any team will reply.
9. Fees
Listing is free while we launch. We may later add a small monthly listing fee (a placeholder of about $1 a month; not final). If we do, we will tell you first, you can choose to leave, and any payment would be by a payment link we send to you. No payment is taken on this website. We will publish refund and cancellation terms before we charge anyone. Taxes (if any) are our responsibility to work out, and we may add them to the price.
10. Removing your listing or reporting a problem
Email paranormaldepartment1@gmail.com to change or remove your listing, to ask us to stop using your content in promotions, or to report a team, a photo you own or anything that looks wrong. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
11. Limits of our responsibility
The directory is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the actions, advice, statements or results of any team or client, for any injury, loss or dispute connected with a visit or an investigation, or for content submitted by others. Nothing here limits any right you have that the law does not let us limit. [Lawyer: please review this section and the governing law, which is currently not stated.]
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a material change that affects listed teams, we will email the team contact first.
